Simca 1000 Rallye, in production from 1961 to 1978.

I once had a Simca…for a short time!! Really liked the car – red, with extra spotlights. I bought it from a reputable garage in Amsterdam and, after a short time, headed down to Germany. At the border, inspectors had a look at the vehicle and, as one put his hand on the underside to check, it came through the floor!!!
The car was taken away from me and I later had to appear in court for having a dangerous vehicle. A small fine was the end result, as well as no longer having a vehicle.
