Not the easiest or cooperative of models to work with, head always moving back and forth, up and down etc, but I did manage to get a couple of reasonable portrait shots of this male Bare-faced Curassow. Like the feathers a lot.

Range
The Bare-faced Curassow, Crax fasciolata, is native to Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and eastern Bolivia.

Description
It is a fairly large bird, reaching a length of up to 92 cm (36 inches). The male has black upper parts tinted with a greenish-olive sheen, an unfeathered face with yellowish bare skin, a small black crest, and white underparts. The female has a black head, throat, neck and upper mantle, and a black and white barred crest.
Diet
It mainly feeds on fruit, although seeds, flowers and small invertebrates are also consumed.
