Another former train station, part of the old rail service which ran from Málaga to Ventas de Zafarraya, is located in the small coastal town of Benajarafe, part of the municipality of Vélez-Málaga.
The narrow gauge railway was one of the main causes for the development of the town, until in the 60’s when it was decided to dismantle the line. The last journey was made in 1968.
The station is used as a First Aid post by the lifeguard service. It also has a nice seating area. Nice old building altogether.
