Update: One of the forums came through with the suggestion that it could possibly be a female Leaf-footed Bug, Anoplocnemis curvipes, also known as the Leaf-wilter due to its destructive attitude towards local flora.

Nice little bug and, hopefully, I will be able to identify it one day. Keep trying various forums, image search etc but no joy so far.
