We decided to try the Puerto Niza Braseria for lunch, having thought it ‘looked appealing’ from the outside.
It is located at Av. de la Axarquía 21, 29738 Torre de Benagalbón, Málaga – basically the N-340a coast road, so easy to find.
We chose to share a variety of starters, including croquetas and terrezno de Soria, followed by main course and dessert. I decided to try their red prawns pilpil as I not only love a good pilpil, but have been sampling them all over the place recently.
The prawns were prepared at the table – heads removed and presented for later slurping – but the big surprise was the inclusion of egg, which was then mixed into the concoction. A first for me. Very nice, though.
The restaurant has a nice ambience, with soothing music in the background, and it has a large glass window at the front so you can gaze out at the world as it passes by.
The food is high quality, well cooked, and the service is very good. Attentive, but not intrusive. Overall a very pleasant experience. A little on the pricey side, so more of a treat than a daily dine.
